Talk of the Town #3: M'm'M'm Good

<img src="https://assets.podomatic.net/ts/fa/d5/7f/asdambeck/3000x3000_3562353.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />Hi folks,

October was a Big month for modern soul acquisitions, as you'll learn toward the last half this mix. Beginning with a sweet soul ballad by the venerable Dennis Landry (I mean, have you ever heard a bass player having more fun than the guy playing on this song?? WICKED!) and ending with a smooth shifter from Darwin's Theory -- unearthed on Milwaukee's Lotus Land label -- it's really going to be tough to beat this mix. Have fun with this one. There's plenty more on the way!

#3
Dennis Landry - M'm'M'm Good (Soul Unlimited)
We The People - Whatcha Done For Me, I'm Gonna Do For You (Lion)
Betty Everett - Getting Mighty Crowded (President)
Nina Simone - It Be's That Way Sometime (RCA Victor)
Harold Melvin & Bluenotes - Get Out! (Route - UK Release)
Falcons - I'm A Fool, I Must Love You (Big Wheel)
Cash McCall - I'm In Danger (Checker)
Black and White Affair - Bold Soul Sister, Bold Soul Brother (Sausage - FR release)
Ray Camacho & The Teardrops - Movin On (Falcon)
Roy Porter Sound Machine - Panama (Love 'N Haight)
Bobby Williams - Funky Superfly (MTVH)
The Blackbyrds - Theme of the Blackbyrds (Jazzman RE)
New World - We're Gonna Make It (Polydor)
Glenn Dorsey & The Big J - Movin On (GooD)
Luther Davis - You Can Be a Star (Life Time)
Sugar Bear Johnson - When Your Jones Come Down Instr. (T-Jaye)
Spade Brigade - I'm Your Man (Kay Dee)
Darwin's Theory - On a Lovely Night Like This (Lotus Land)
